On Saturday evening, I attended the International Women’s Association of Vilnius’ annual fundraiser gala to support breast cancer treatment and awareness in Lithuania. It was a lovely evening with dinner, entertainment and dancing. The evening included a performance by ballet students from Eglė Spokaitė’s — a famous Lithuanian ballerina — ballet school. The students were age 7-10 and the performance was excellent. I’ve been to quite a few ballet recitals in the United States and I’ve never seen students that age dance at such a high level. I attended the first IWAV breast cancer fundraiser in 2009 and it was fun to participate again and raise money for a good cause.
