A Cup of Tea in Vilnius

I’ve already mentioned my favorite places to have a cup of tea in Kaunas.  I also have favorite places in Vilnius to meet friends or just pop in for a cup of tea to warm up.  So if you are in town, make sure to visit these places.

Coffee shop in Vaga Bookstore, Gedimino 9 — located at the back of a bookstore next to windows with a view of the Cathedral and Gedimino Castle, this place serves Harney and Sons teas and excellent truffles.

Skonis ir Kvapas, Trakų g. — the name means “scents and flavors;” a tea-lovers dream, the tea menu here is shaped like a fan and lists teas on both sides, plus they have delicious cakes and crepes and beautiful decor.  The only downside…the Buena Vista Social Club CD seems to be set on repeat.  Fortunately I like the music.

Kibin Inn, Vilniaus g. — a cozy place with country decor and a kids play area, Kibin Inn serves a couple of interesting additions to the basic three teas (black, green, fruit).  They also have excellent pastries and kibinai.
