Lengthen and Lighten

In December, I took this photo of the sunset at 3:00 in the afternoon.  By 3:30, it was dark.  Less than a month later, it’s quite light at 4:00 and the sun will officially set today at 4:26.  Sunrise was at 8:41 so it’s still plenty dark in the morning.  But that little bit of extra light each day reminds that eventually winter will end.
