This weekend I learned that the Chinese New Year will bring the Year of the Rabbit. My first clue was that many people celebrating the new year in the center of Vilnius were wearing rabbit ears — paper ones, furry ones, glow-in-the-dark ones, and even ones with flashing lights.
On Saturday evening, I was walking home from having tea and dessert with a friend when I discovered these snow rabbits on Vokiečių street. Fortunately I stopped to take pictures in the dark, because they weren’t still standing in the morning. (Perhaps the same rude people who set off fireworks at six a.m. knocked them down.)
