On my way to meet a friend last weekend in Vilnius, I crossed a bridge over the Nemunas River. The circles of floating ice flowing in the rapid current caught my eye. They made a kind of abstract work of art on the surface of the river. Once I stopped, I realized that the National Gallery of Art across the river was glowing in the setting sun. Two winter beautiful scenes.
