Fortunately I am feeling much better because a UW friend arrived last night from Riga to spend the weekend with me. Today we went for a walk through Old Town and Užupis as a light snow fell, then stopped in at a lovely bakery for quiche, tea and chocolate cake. My friend requested that we walk down Literatų gatve (Literature street) to see the outdoor wall gallery of mixed media art works celebrating Lithuania’s literary heritage.

Honoring one of my favorite authors, Czeslaw Milosz, a Polish writer and poet with Lithuanian heritage
