Last year, I mentioned a few signs of spring in Vilnius. This week I noticed an obvious sign that cold weather is here to stay — the sidewalks outside of cafes and restaurants no longer have outdoor seating. I was surprised at how empty Pilies Gatvė, the main street through Old Town, looks now that the sidewalk seating has been put away. One lone cafe has a couple of tables outside for those who are willing to brave the chill.
